Rhythmic Gymnastics
Rhythmic gymnastics combines flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, body control, and apparatus work in a highly technical environment. Athletes need to move through large ranges of motion while maintaining control, precision, and consistency. At Performance Health & Rehab, we tailor our training and rehabilitation to the physical demands of rhythmic gymnastics and the individual needs of each athlete.

Strength Within Range of Motion
Our approach focuses on developing strength and stability throughout the ranges of motion required for the sport. Training may include core strength, hip stability, foot and ankle strength, balance, active mobility, and full-body resistance training. The goal is to help athletes develop control of their flexibility rather than simply increasing passive range of motion.
Complementing Rhythmic Training & Rehabilitation
Coaches develop an athlete's apparatus skills, choreography, technique, and execution. Our role is to support that technical training by developing the strength and physical capacity behind it. Following an injury, rehabilitation focuses on rebuilding the strength, stability, mobility, and control required for the athlete's specific skills before progressively returning them to apparatus work, routines, and full training.
