Gymnastics
Gymnastics requires an exceptional combination of strength, mobility, power, balance, coordination, and body control. At Performance Health & Rehab, we tailor our training and rehabilitation approach to the specific demands of gymnastics, taking into consideration the skills, positions, repetitive movements, and impact forces each gymnast experiences. Our goal is to build the physical qualities that allow gymnasts to perform their technical skills with greater strength, control, and confidence.

Building Strength for Gymnastics
Our process focuses on developing the strength and stability needed to support gymnastics skills without taking away from the flexibility and mobility that gymnastics requires. We may incorporate resistance training, single-leg stability, core control, landing mechanics, upper-body strength, and foot and ankle training based on the individual athlete. Rather than simply repeating gymnastics skills, we work on the physical qualities that help an athlete execute those skills more efficiently.
Complementing Technical Training & Rehabilitation
Your gymnastics coach is responsible for teaching skills, technique, routines, and progressions. Our role is to complement that technical training by developing the physical foundation behind those skills. When a gymnast is recovering from an injury, we tailor rehabilitation to the demands of their specific skills and gradually rebuild strength, stability, impact tolerance, and confidence before progressing them back into full gymnastics training.
