Cheerleading
Cheerleading combines explosive movement, tumbling, jumps, stunting, balance, coordination, and repeated impact. At Performance Health & Rehab, we tailor training and rehabilitation to the individual demands placed on cheerleaders, whether they are a flyer, base, back spot, tumbler, or participate in multiple roles. Our approach focuses on developing the strength, stability, mobility, and power needed to perform these skills while supporting the athlete through the demands of their training and competition schedule.

Building the Physical Foundation
Our process can focus on areas such as lower-body strength, landing mechanics, ankle and foot stability, core control, shoulder strength, balance, and explosive power. We identify the physical qualities an athlete needs to improve and use targeted strength and conditioning to build those qualities rather than simply adding more repetitions of their cheer skills.
Complementing Cheer Training & Rehabilitation
Technical skills, stunting technique, tumbling, jumps, and choreography remain the focus of cheer practice. Our role is to strengthen the athlete behind those skills. When an injury occurs, we consider the specific demands of their role and gradually rebuild the strength, stability, impact tolerance, and confidence needed to safely return to tumbling, stunting, jumps, and full cheer participation.
